Regional Roads Victoria have advised that reconstruction of sections of the Tyers-Thomson Valley Road will continue until the end of February 2020. The current work is part of the reconstruction of some 6 km of the road and will provide a stronger more durable surface on this key rural route.
Contractors Fowlers Asphalting have almost completed work on 4.3km of the project at a cost of $2.7 million. A further two sections totaling 1.9 km and costing $1.2 Million will be reconstructed in 2020.
Works will take place during daylight hours between Monday and Saturday. Reduced speed limits and lane closures will be in place and could result in minor travel delays. Drivers are encouraged to take this into account when planning their journeys.
