2021 Motorcycle toy run coming to Erica

The 2021 Toy Run is coming to Erica this year.
I am delighted to announce that the destination for this year’s Toy Run will be the town of Erica. Local business owners and residents are thrilled to be our hosts this year and are keen to welcome us to their very special township.
At Erica, riders will have a multitude of locations to park their bikes to suit their lunch requirements. And these are:
The Recreation Reserve – Lots of parking here at the entrance to town where a BBQ will be set up to serve food for those interested. Bec and Trev, proprietors of the Erica Caravan Park located in this area, are a licensed business and will be available to provide drinks for sale there.
The Erica Hotel, located just across the road, is the home of the Hotrock meal, and Judy will be all geared up to welcome patrons. There is lots of parking here however you are asked to phone your table booking in well ahead of the day to ensure your meal. If you are only interested in a beer and some company you can just wander in. Phone Judy on 5165 3252 to make a booking.
The 1914 Cafe and Bar is located at the top of town and Jodie, the proprietor, frequently welcomes riders for a meal and refreshments. There is parking available out front and also at the rear. If you would like to have lunch at Cafe 1914 you must also ring in well ahead and place your booking – Phone Jodie on 5165 3359.
At the Erica General Store, Harsh, the proprietor, has ample parking around his store and sells pies and other bakery items. He says he will have lots of supplies on hand for Toy Run day and is looking forward to welcoming riders to town. No need to prebook lunch here, just rock up.
The Salvos and Vinnies trucks will be set up across the road from the pub at the old servo, which is no longer operating. This is what it’s all about, so don’t forget to bring a toy or two.
Despite the excitement that comes with going to a new venue, we are also a little sad to leave Old Gippstown, which has been our destination for many years now. We have always been well received here and Kevin and Teagan have been a pleasure to deal with. They have agreed to still be a collection point for toys in Moe and, if you remember from last year’s posts, they amassed a very impressive amount of toys. Thank you so much, we have truly appreciated your sponsorship.
The route for this years Toy Run will be similar to previous years with the difference being that, after we leave Yallourn North and head down Purvis Road, we turn right instead of left.
The beauty of this location is that it is close to other popular riding destinations like Walhalla the Thomson Dam and Rawson. So, if you wanted to continue riding after lunch, you are well catered for.
Alf.
