QR Checks bounced, Density Limits limited

From 6pm tomorrow (Friday 18 Feb) density limits will be removed at hospitality venues, and QR check-ins will no longer be required in retail stores or shopping centres, schools, and many workplaces.

Surveillance testing in schools will continue, with more free RAT (rapid antigen tests) to be distributed to students.

Indoor dance floors will be allowed to reopen and surveillance testing requirements in industries such as meat processing will no longer be mandatory, but will be recommended.

International arrivals will no longer need to obtain a permit, and the hotel quarantine period for unvaccinated travelers will be reduced from 14 days to seven days.

The Premier has also flagged there could be an easing of mask requirements in offices and some other environments in about a week if hospitalisations continue to fall.
