Two Burns About To Be Lit
Two planned burns, one adjacent to the Tyers-Walhalla Rd and the second South of the power transmission lines will be lit today. The Moondarra/Thalloo burn has been completed and is being patrolled to ensure any hot spots are made safe.
Planned Burn Tyers-Walhalla Rd
Weather permitting, a planned burn will be ignited West of the Tyers-Walhalla Road in the next 10 days. The area of 1288 ha is located between the W12 and W18 tracks.

Baw Baw Mayoral Car Wrecked
Baw Baw Council Mayor’s car was damaged when it collided with another U-turning vehicle in Moore St, Moe earlier today. Neither driver was injured, but Mayor Cr Leaney reported some deafness as a result of the air bags inflating.

Rawson Gym receives new floor
Baw Baw Shire has recently completed renovations to the floor of the Rawson Gymnasium. Located in the Rawson Heated Pool complex, the Gymnasium is available to pool users at no additional cost. Age limits and supervision requirements apply, Call the pool on 5165 3533 for more information.
The Trail ‘Cretes’ closer
The team building the multi-use trail between Erica and Rawson are steadily filling in the gaps. Concrete sections with an anti-slip surface treatment have been laid in Erica and fences moved in Rawson, Picture (DD) shows progress near Erica’s Springdale saw mill.
