After more than three months of darkness and ignored requests to Ausnet Services for further information, Rawson’s street lights have now been repaired and the night wanderers can now wander around feeling a bit less nervous.
To be fair to Ausnet, in March they did send the following response to a community member:
Hi xxx,
Just to clarify, this isn’t a simple issue where we need to go out and replace the lights it is a network fault that is causing these not to work. So we have to schedule the repairs which takes more time.
I have emailed our team to see if we can find out when these works will be done and will contact you again when we have a response.
We understand nothing further was heard, but a couple of months later the network was indeed fixed.
