Wally Pub opens Mondays too

The heated indoor swimming pool and adjacent gymnasium at Rawson were opened for the summer season on 1st December and will close on 31st March 2020. Fire Restrictions start 16 Dec
Restrictions will commence for the South Gippsland Shire, Bass Coast Shire and Baw Baw Shire on the 16th December 2019.
Tyers to Rawson roadworks
Regional Roads Victoria have advised that reconstruction of sections of the Tyers-Thomson Valley Road will continue until the end of February 2020. The current work is part of the reconstruction of some 6 km of the road and will provide a stronger more durable surface on this key rural route.

Cricket: Campers vs Locals on Aus Day
Adults and kids are invited to register for this ‘hit and giggle’ fun day at the Erica Oval on Australia Day, 26th January. Places are limited, so call 5165 3335 before somebody else catches your spot and it’s all over.
Bric-a-Brac & Op-Shop open Sunday
The Erica and District Historical Society will have their newly renovated showroom open from 10:00 am on Sunday 3 November. On offer is a fine collection of bargain priced clothing, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs and other country treasures. Find them at 1a Pinnacle Drive in Rawson, near the Police Station. Erica Placemaking Program set for approval
At its meeting on Wednesday 13 November the Baw Baw Council will discuss approval of Erica’s Placemaking program which is intended to enhance the identity of the township and improve information signage. The proposed works include
Erica Community Facilities Committee Elected
At a special community meeting held in the Erica Memorial Hall on 15 October, a new Erica Community Facilities Committee of Management (ECFCoM) was formed. At the Committee’s AGM on 20 August 2019, none of the previous committee wished to be reelected.

Dump Green Waste For Free
Baw Baw Shire Council is offering free green waste drop off days at selected transfer stations in October to make it easier for residents to prepare their properties for the upcoming fire season. For Erica, Rawson and Walhalla: Erica Transfer Station, Sunday 13 October, Noon to 4:00 pm
